TREASURE ISLAND

"Fifteen men on the dead man's chest - Yo-ho-ho, and a bottle of rum! Drink and the devil had done for the rest - Yo-ho-ho, and a bottle of rum!"

                                                         Treasure IslandPirate’s Song

Jim Hawkins is a young smart boy who helps his parents with the customers of their inn, “Admiral Benbow”. One day, a huge and tall sailor, with a scar on one of his cheeks, named Billy Bones (who resembles a piratearrives at the inn bringing an iron chest (like a true pirate!) with him, making Jim curious to see what this chest contains.

Since the very start, Billy gave a lot of troubles, in fact he never paid the bill, he always got drunk and he beat anyone approaching his table, because he was very nasty. Howewer, he told Jim to stay away from the one-legged man.
One day, a blind man named Pew came to the inn. He was searching for Bones and he gave him a weird paper with a big black dot in the centre, and, soon after, Jim found Billy dead. Then, he found a map in Billy's chest. He went to the Squire and ask for help. They both decided to go to the island where there was Flint’s buried treasure.

They went there on board of “The Hispaniola” and met the mysterious one-legged man. He was Long John Silver, the cook of the ship, but he didn’t seem a bad man, because he was very nice and humorous, and he told Jim a lot of funny stories. But one day, Jim discovered that Silver was plotting to murder all  thevSquire’s men, included Jim himself!

So, when they went on the island, Jim ran into the forest, where he met Ben Gunn, a beggarly looking man who was marooned on the island 3 years before. So, he helped Jim to recover the treasure and fight against Long John Silver.

Unfortunately, they didn’t find it,  because Ben Gunn had already moved Flint’s Fist (another name of the treasure) and so he guided Jim, Silver and the squire to the treasure. They took their part and so they went back home. Silver was a changed man; he apologized and started to help Jim and his mother with the Inn. After that, Jim became a sea dog…but, that’s another story...
